Temperatures rise with the arrival of the “Al-Dhir‘aan” season on April 3.
Download ArticleThe AlOjeiri Scientific Center confirmed that we are currently experiencing the “Sarayat” period, specifically the “Al-Dhir‘aan” season, which begins on April 3, 2026, with the rising of (Tale‘ Al-Muqaddam) and lasts for 13 days.
The center added in a press statement that during (Tale‘ Al-Muqaddam), temperatures rise compared to earlier periods. It is a time when rice, wheat, and grains are planted and harvested, and when headaches, colds, and dust become more common.
It also noted that during Al-Dhir‘aan, temperatures increase while unstable weather conditions persist. This period is characterized by Sarayat—a distinctive, short-lived weather phenomenon—along with a higher solar angle. Nights are accompanied by a cool breeze, and spring geese migrate during this time.
The center explained that Al-Dhir‘aan is considered one of the seasons marked by active winds with variable speeds and directions that are difficult to predict accurately. This season also includes weather fluctuations and variations in temperature, lasting for 26 days and divided into two stellar phases.
